For making Isoko nation proud, chairman of the Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Friday Ovoke Warri, on Tuesday applauded an Isoko son, Enahoro Eric Ewhala for his outstanding contributions during his National Youth Service Corps.

The ex corps member, who distinguished him among other fellow corps members, caught the attention of President Bola Tinubu and was bestowed with a presidential award.

Receiving the ex-coros member and some few members of his family on a courtesy visit to the chairman of Isoko South in his office, Oleh, the council chairman, Warri poured encomiums on Ewhala, saying “You have made Isoko proud and we are proud of you too.”, advising him on the need to leverage his recent recognition to inspire other Isoko sons and daughters to prioritize education.

Warri while commending Ewhala for his outstanding contributions during his National Youth Service Corps, noted that his exceptional performance caught the attention of the Presidency, resulting in a presidential award even as he urged him to use this opportunity to inspire fellow Isoko learners to prioritize education as the foundation of a prosperous society.

“I am happy because it occurred at a time when some of our youths lack appreciation for education. Some young individuals now perceive education as a fraudulent endeavor, prioritizing wealth over knowledge. I commend you for representing the Isoko nation and Delta State in a positive manner.

“Please remain grounded and connected to your roots despite your rising fame, recognizing that this presidential award and recognition is a rare distinction. I pray that you will continue to show respect to your parents, acknowledging the significant debt of gratitude you owe them, and recognize that your accomplishments will forever surpass theirs.”

Warri however expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu, for the recognation and award on the Isoko son which is a source of encouragement to the younger generation.

Enahano Eric Ewhala, an Igbide son, Isoko South who holds a degree in Fine and Applied Art from Delta State University, Abraka, thanked the council chairman for the warm reception inspite of the brief notice.

Ewhala was selected as one of the distinguished individuals for the NYSC President’s Honour Award 2025.
